The Alder Fork is a collaborative music and cultural project. It encompasses music recording, a daily blog, and a weekly podcast. Links to each of thse can be found on the main page of the blog. The Alder Fork is intended to showcase that talents of Canadian musicians, artists, writers, and others. Although material by international talent is occasionally featured the blog is focused on Canada. The Alder Fork also has a social conscience and many causes and concerns are discussed. The name The Alder Fork comes from Aldo Leopold’s A Sand County Almanac, a watershed book in the environmental movement in the United States. The Alder Fork is in fact a real place, located on a farm in Wisconsin.
